Dr. al Henson

Dr. Al Henson currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Instructional) at the University of Houston since July 2021 and has been a Senior Planning Consultant at AB Land Planning since September 1994. Previous academic roles include Adjunct Professor at Texas Southern University from August 2011 to July 2021 and Visiting Professor at Prairie View A&M University from August 2005 to July 2009. Dr. Henson also held positions in various organizations, such as Staff Analyst/GIS Manager for the City of Houston and Executive Director at Re-Ward Third Ward Community Development Corporation. Dr. Henson's academic credentials include a PhD in Urban Planning and Environmental Policy, a Master of City Planning, and a Bachelor of Architectural Construction Technology from Texas Southern University, along with Bachelor of Architecture credits from the University of Houston.
