Gerardo De La Garza Jr is currently an Engineering Practicum instructor at the University of Houston, developing course material in mechanical design and rapid fabrication, and conducting classes for students. With a strong background in engineering, Gerardo has served as a SolidWorks Workshop Facilitator, creating materials that offer significant cost savings and certification for students. Previously, Gerardo held various internships, including roles at Parker Hannifin as a Quality Engineering Intern and Product Engineering Intern, where responsibilities included 3D modeling and revising manufacturing drawings to enhance accuracy and reduce costs. Additional experience includes a position as Treasurer for Engineers Without Borders UH, managing finances and raising funds for projects, as well as working at H-E-B as a Personal Shopper. Gerardo's educational background includes a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston, expected in December 2024, and an Associate of Science with honors from Lone Star College.
