Avi Bagchi is a dedicated researcher and entrepreneur currently serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign within the Information and Intelligence Group since July 2024. Previously, Avi completed a Quantitative Research Internship at Nebula Research & Development LLC and held multiple research assistant roles at The Wharton School, focusing on operations, information, and decisions from August 2022 to May 2024. Avi co-founded MosquitoEdge, which developed an edge computing device for malaria tracking, and Find Your Invasive, an internationally recognized software for invasive species reporting and climate scenario predictions. Additionally, Avi gained experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Health Research, Inc. and as a Research Intern at NASA in the summer of 2021. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania, Avi has also enriched academic foundations through an experience at The London School of Economics and Political Science in mid-2023. Education includes an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors from Shaker High School, achieved in 2022.
