Alan Freedman is an experienced professional in the field of athletic training and clinical education. Currently serving as the Coordinator of Clinical Education at the University of Illinois Springfield since August 2018, Freedman also holds the position of Athletic Trainer for USA Fencing since September 2013. Previous roles include Clinical Education Coordinator and CME Tracking Specialist at Wayne State University from June 2014 to July 2018, and Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University from January 2011 to August 2013. Freedman holds a PhD in Health Sciences from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, obtained between June 2015 and August 2022, a Master of Education in Education with a focus on Athletic Training from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Appalachian State University.
