Jill Hawkins-Wright

Jill Hawkins-Wright is an experienced professional in civic engagement and volunteer coordination. Currently serving as the Director of the Volunteer & Civic Engagement Center at the University of Illinois Springfield since November 2018, Jill develops service, leadership, and civic engagement opportunities for the UIS community while overseeing department priorities and fiscal responsibilities. Prior to this role, Jill worked as a Volunteer Coordinator at Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach from September 2008 to November 2018, where relationships with various community groups were fostered and programs to enhance international recipient satisfaction were developed. Jill holds a Master of Public Health with a Certification in Community Health Education from the University of Illinois Springfield and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Illinois Chicago, along with a study abroad and internship experience in Rajasthan, India, focusing on International Development and Public Health.
