Transfer Admissions Coordinator at University of Illinois Springfield

Raymond Barnett has extensive experience in higher education and teaching, currently serving as the Transfer Admissions Coordinator at the University of Illinois Springfield since July 2001. In this role, responsibilities include updating transfer guides, planning and running the Annual Fall Transfer Counselor Conference, advising entering transfer students, and developing transfer agreements with Illinois Community Colleges. Prior to this, Raymond worked as an Admissions Counselor, establishing connections with high school and community college advisors. Prior to joining UIS, Raymond taught social studies in the Springfield Public School District and held instructional roles in junior high at the Diocese of Springfield, as well as serving as the Student Activities Coordinator at Blackburn College. Raymond holds a Bachelor of Arts in History Education from the University of Illinois Springfield.
