Barbara WIlson

Barbara Wilson is the current president at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Barbara previously served as the executive vice president and vice president for academic affairs at University of Illinois System from September 2016 to July 2021. Prior to that, they were the interim chancellor at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from December 2008 to September 2016. Wilson has also served as the department head at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from January 2000 to December 2008. Barbara began their career as a professor at University of California at Santa Barbara from January 1988 to December 2000.

Dr. Barbara Wilson is a communication scholar who earned their Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research interests include feminist theory, rhetoric, and public address. Barbara also holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
