Joanna Scamp

Joanna Scamp is a seasoned professional specializing in technical management within higher education and research, currently serving as Technical Manager focused on the Technician Commitment at the University of Kent since October 2011. Joanna has a background in ensuring visibility, recognition, career development, and sustainability for technicians, and has expanded this role to include a position as Specialist Advisor at the National Technician Development Centre since January 2024. Additionally, Joanna holds a leadership role as Co-Chair of the Eastern ARC Technicians’ Network Steering Group, which supervises the implementation of the Technicians' Network. Previous experience includes roles in administration, photography, and design at The Community College Whitstable and Olan Mills, along with a long tenure as a Till Supervisor at Wilkinson. Joanna earned a BA (HONS) in Fine Art from the University for the Creative Arts.
