Virginia N. L. Franqueira

Virginia N. L. Franqueira is a seasoned academic in the field of Cyber Security, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the University of Kent since September 2019. Virginia holds the position of Director at the Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE), where responsibilities include strategy implementation and external representation. Virginia has previously served as Deputy Director of Education and Senior Lecturer in Computer Security and Digital Forensics at the University of Derby, and has lectured at the University of Central Lancashire. Virginia's extensive experience also includes consultancy in information security and research roles at institutions such as the University of Twente and Xerox. Virginia earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science, specializing in Information Security, from the University of Twente and holds master's and bachelor's degrees in Computer Science.
