Michael A. Hawse

Michael Hawse, a Lexington native, is a senior undergraduate student double majoring in Political Science along with US Culture and Business Practices. He currently serves as the Student Body President along with being involved in DanceBlue and Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. During his time in UKSGA, he has served as an Undergraduate Senator along with serving as the Chair of the Appropriations and Revenue Committee.

Growing up within a mile from campus, Hawse and his administration emphasize the importance of every student looking back at their experience in Lexington and on campus as their best years. Through emphasizing the student voice and being intentional on including voices which have traditionally not been at the table in UKSGA, Hawse is dedicated to making sure that every student knows how important and valuable their voice is.
