Matthew Treherne is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in Italian literature and research leadership. Since July 2005, Matthew has held multiple significant positions at the University of Leeds, including Pro-Dean for Research and Innovation in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures, Professor of Italian Literature, and Head of the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies. Prior to that, Matthew served as a Lecturer in Italian at the University of Cambridge from September 2004 to June 2005 and worked as an Associate at L.E.K. Consulting from September 2000 to August 2001. Matthew's educational background includes a PhD in Italian Literature, as well as several other advanced degrees from the University of Cambridge, culminating in a BA in Modern and Medieval Languages (Italian and French).
