Nigel Smith

Nigel Smith is a Professor and Head of the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Leeds, a position held since November 1995. With a focus on Project and Transport Infrastructure Management, Nigel Smith's research interests encompass risk, socio-technical design, and energy management. In addition to overseeing learning and teaching in areas such as transport, risk, and funding for projects, Nigel Smith actively contributes to the academic community as the Chair of the JBM International Sub-Committee. Nigel Smith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham from 1971 to 1974.
