Ajay Verma

Ajay Verma currently serves as the Interim Director of Research & Development, Consultant Gastroenterologist and Physician, and Chief Clinical Information Officer at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since March 2015. Verma is also the Chair of the New Consultants Committee and a member of the same committee at the Royal College of Physicians since May 2017. Additionally, Verma holds the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Leicester Cancer Research Centre at the University of Leicester since May 2018, after previously serving as an Honorary Research Fellow there from 2012 to November 2017. Verma's medical training includes roles as a Gastroenterology and General Medicine Specialist Registrar and Junior Doctor with the NHS from August 2003 to February 2015, and an Endoscopy Research Fellow at Kettering General Hospital from August 2011 to August 2014. Verma's educational background includes an MD in Cancer Studies and an MB ChB from the University of Leicester, along with an Intercalated BSc (Hons) in Cancer Studies.
