Andy Sarratt

Andy Sarratt has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Andy currently holds the position of Head of Operations at the University of Leicester, where they lead a team of 17 professionals and ensures the smooth delivery of support services to 1000 students and 100 teaching and research academics. Prior to this, Andy served as the Operations Manager for the Department of Criminology and the School of Media, Communication & Sociology at the same university, where they successfully managed a shared Professional Services team for two distinct academic departments. Before joining the University of Leicester, Andy worked as the Performance and Planning Manager at the General Social Care Council, where they excelled in planning the operational delivery and transformed the corporate performance reporting. Andy also gained valuable experience at Barclaycard as a Resource Planning Manager and at Capital One in various roles including Senior Manager of Fraud Operations and Planning Manager. Throughout their career, Andy demonstrated strong leadership skills, implemented innovative solutions, and achieved significant improvements within their areas of responsibility.

Andy Sarratt attended Crossley & Porter GS Halifax from 1973 to 1980, where they pursued A levels in Economics, Statistics, and History. Andy later went on to study at the University of Birmingham from 1980 to 1983, completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics, Statistics, Operational Research, and Company Law.
