Cian Sweeney

Cian Sweeney is a research associate at the University of Leicester since October 2025, previously serving as an hourly paid lecturer at Nottingham Trent University from November 2022 to October 2025. Cian has experience as a sports science intern with the Football Association of Ireland from September 2022 to October 2025. Cian is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Sports and Exercise at Nottingham Trent University, expected to complete in December 2025, after obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science from the same institution in July 2022.
