Steve Williams

Steve Williams is an experienced library and information services professional currently serving as the Director of Library and Learning Services at the University of Leicester since December 2021. Previously, Steve held the position of University Librarian and Head of Libraries, Archives, Culture and Arts at Swansea University from 2007 to December 2021, and served as a Trustee and Board Member at CILIP: The Library and Information Association from January 2019 to January 2023. Additional roles include Board Member at the National Library of Wales, Chair and Vice Chair of the Wales Higher Education Libraries Forum, and Senior Technical Specialist at Janet. Steve's education includes a Master of Science in Systems Thinking from The Open University and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian from Swansea University, as well as language studies at the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute.
