Kenneth Aitchison

Kenneth Aitchison is an accomplished consultant and leader within the cultural, environmental, and archaeological sectors, currently serving as Founder and CEO of Landward Research Ltd. since 2010, where projects focus on capacity measurement and building. Kenneth also holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Federation of Archaeological Managers and Employers, advocating for improvements in commercial archaeology. As an Honorary Research Professor at the University of Liverpool, Kenneth contributes to project development in the Department of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology. Previous roles include Head of Capability Mapping at The Heritage Management Organization and European Project Coordinator at York Archaeological Trust. Kenneth's academic credentials include a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh, focusing on the demand and supply in UK archaeological employment, as well as degrees in Landscape Archaeology and Archaeology.
