Kasonde Bowa currently serves as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Research and Executive Dean at the University of Lusaka, a position held since February 2019. Kasonde Bowa has been with the Copperbelt University since June 2011 as Dean, and is noted as the Founding Dean of the Copperbelt University School of Medicine. Additionally, Kasonde Bowa held the role of Associate Professor from March 2005 to March 2011 at the University of Zambia, where responsibilities included serving as Assistant Dean for Post Graduate studies. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Anatomy from the University of Glasgow, a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine from the University of Zambia, and a Doctor of Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, alongside additional qualifications in Public Health.
