Abheek Chatterjee, Ph.D., currently serves as an Associate Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and as a Visiting Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Maryland since January 2023. Previously, Chatterjee was involved at Texas A&M University from September 2018 to December 2022, holding positions as Graduate Teaching Fellow, Course Development Fellow, Graduate Research Assistant, and Graduate Teaching Assistant. Earlier experience includes serving as a Summer Research Intern at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2016 and 2017, where research focused on the effects of membrane defects on the performance of PEM fuel cells. Chatterjee earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal. Education also includes an All India Senior Secondary School Certificate from Baldwin Academy Patna and a Secondary School Certificate from Delhi Public School Patna.
