Francis Lavoe is a statistician with extensive experience in data management and policy analysis. Since July 2021, Francis has been with The World Bank, focusing on enhancing evidence-based policy analysis in Tanzania by co-managing the 'Development Support for Tanzania Statistics' project. Previously, Francis served as an ODI Statistics Fellow, where responsibilities included reviewing survey sampling frameworks and co-authoring key reports. As a Data Science Fellow at Uptake, Francis utilized Python for data analysis to improve solar energy access in West Africa. Further experience includes roles at PEGAfrica and CSIR - Food Research Institute, contributing to data processes and managing research programs. Francis is currently pursuing a PhD in Survey and Data Science at the University of Maryland while also serving as a Graduate Student Instructor. Educational credentials include a Master's Degree in Demography and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, both from the University of Ghana.
