James Briscoe

James Briscoe is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in aerospace and mission operations, currently serving as an Engineering Technical Supervisor II at General Dynamics Mission Systems since July 2017. In this role, James is a key member of the Landsat 8/9 Flight Operations Team, overseeing the transition of Landsat 8 operations and leading mission planning and flight dynamics development. Prior experience includes positions at the University of Maryland as an Aerospace Engineer Research Assistant and at L-1 Standards and Technology as an Aerospace Engineer, where significant contributions were made to various satellite instruments. James holds a PhD, an M.S., and a B.S. in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
