John Dickerson

John Dickerson is a distinguished computer scientist with extensive experience in academia and industry. Currently serving as Co-founder and Chief Scientist at Arthur since March 2019, John is focused on developing enterprise-grade trusted AI systems. As an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland, John leads a lab of over 12 researchers and has secured more than $10 million in research funding, contributing significantly to the field. John's prior roles include advising GovShop, serving as a Visiting Research Scientist at Facebook, and working as a Senior Enterprise Software and Optimization Architect at Optimized Markets. With a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, alongside multiple degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Maryland, John is well-versed in optimization and AI, particularly in market design.
