Kislaya Prasad is a Research Professor at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, teaching courses in data analysis, data mining/machine learning, microeconomics, and game theory while conducting research in both theoretical and applied microeconomics. Kislaya serves as the Academic Director of the Center for Global Business at the University of Maryland, which is a Title VI Center funded in part by the U.S. Additionally, Kislaya is a Guest Scholar at The Brookings Institution and an Independent Consultant, focusing on economic evaluations of programs, policies, and technologies for various clients, including private companies and multilateral development banks. Kislaya's previous roles include External Scientist at the Center for Advanced Modeling at Johns Hopkins University, Professor of Economics at Florida State University, and Research Officer at the University of Cambridge. Kislaya holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Syracuse University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, India.
