Leila de Floriani

Leila De Floriani is a Professor at the University of Maryland since November 2016, previously serving as President of the IEEE Computer Society in 2020 and Editor in Chief of IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics from 2015 to 2018. Prior to these roles, Leila held a professorship at Università degli Studi di Genova from 1990 to 2016, where Leila was also the Director of the PhD Program in Computer Science and founded the Computer Graphics and Geometry Group. Additionally, Leila worked as a Senior Researcher at the Italian National Research Council from 1982 to 1990. Leila obtained education from Università degli Studi di Genova.
