Sebnem Kalemli-Ozcan serves as a Chaired Professor of Economics at Brown University since June 2024 and holds the position of Neil Moskowitz Endowed Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland, where service has been ongoing since August 2012. Additional roles include being a Research Fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, both since 2011 and 2004, respectively. Kalemli-Ozcan's prior experience includes serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at the International Monetary Fund from August 2019 to December 2020, where direction was provided for projects related to SME Failures under COVID, Integrated Policy Framework, Emerging Markets, and US monetary Policy Spillovers. Further academic positions held include Professor of Economics at Koc University, Endowed Professor of Economics at the University of Houston, and Visiting Professor of Public Policy at Harvard University, as well as a Lead Economist/Advisor for The World Bank. Kalemli-Ozcan earned a PhD and M.A. in Economics from Brown University and a B.S. in Economics from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi.
