Angus Begg

Angus Begg is a seasoned researcher and engineer specializing in the development of medical devices, particularly in the fields of electrophysiology and neurointervention. Currently serving as a Research Fellow and Honorary Fellow at the University of Melbourne since August 2022, Angus Begg previously worked at Synchron as a Senior Research and Development Engineer, leading projects focused on safety and functionality assessments of medical implants. Prior experience includes roles as a Consulting Engineer at DBS Tech and as a Research Engineer at the Bionics Institute, where Angus Begg was involved in the design and testing of electronics for novel medical devices and participated in over 100 DBS implantation surgeries. Angus Begg holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Systems, both from the University of Melbourne.
