Ashley Monaghan

Ashley Monaghan is currently serving as the Women in Physics Coordinator at the University of Melbourne since February 2024, where responsibilities include managing diversity initiatives through events and collaborations while analyzing demographic data. Previously, Ashley has held multiple roles, including Astronomer and Telescope Engagement Adviser at Itelescope.net, and Technology Engineering Intern at Commonwealth Bank, where Ashley focused on data-driven banking solutions and cybersecurity. A significant background in research is evident with experience as a Postgraduate Student Researcher at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Dark Matter Particle Physics, investigating dark matter detection and conducting analysis on B-meson decays. Additionally, leadership roles in the Melbourne University Physics Students' Society as President and Vice President, along with various internships, showcase a robust commitment to enhancing student experiences and engagement in STEM fields. Education is anchored in a Bachelor of Science and current pursuit of a Master of Science in Physics at the University of Melbourne.
