Bryan Gao

Bryan Gao is a highly experienced research professional with a strong background in biomedical science and mechanobiology. Currently serving as a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne since April 2018, Bryan previously held the position of Research Scientist at Trajan Scientific and Medical from January 2022 to January 2023. As an R&D Application Engineer at PickCell Lab Pty Ltd from July 2017 to April 2018, Bryan successfully led the product development of advanced 3D cell culture consumables, achieving a minimum viable product within six months. Bryan also founded and directed Innovitro Scientific Pte. Ltd., where a series of reusable cell culture chambers compatible with various microscopes were designed. Additionally, Bryan gained early research experience as a Research Assistant at the National University of Singapore and completed a research internship at the University of Oxford. Bryan holds a PhD in Mechanobiology and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the National University of Singapore and Quantic School of Business and Technology, respectively.
