Kandi Hill-Clarke

Dean, College of Education at University of Memphis

Kandi Hill-Clarke is the current Dean of the College of Education at the University of Memphis. Kandi has held this position since 2013. Prior to that, they were the Assistant Vice Chancellor at the Tennessee Board of Regents from 2008 to 2013. Before that, they were an Associate Professor at the University of Memphis from 2000 to 2008.

Kandi Hill-Clarke began their educational career by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Teaching from LeMoyne-Owen College. Kandi then pursued a Master of Science in Reading Teacher Education from The University of Memphis. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Memphis.

They are on a team with John E. Evans - Executive Director, University Libraries, Vicki Deaton - Chief Audit Executive, Internal Audit, and Justin Lawhead - Dean, Students & Chief Health & Safety Officer. Kandi Hill-Clarke reports to M. David Rudd, President.
