Shabab Hussain

Shabab Hussain is a dedicated researcher currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Biology and Experimental Medicine at the University of Messina, with an anticipated completion date in December 2024. Since January 2022, Shabab has served as a Doctoral Researcher, focusing on environmental virology, specifically the impacts of PPEs following the COVID-19 pandemic and microplastics on marine life. Additionally, Shabab is a visiting researcher at the Ruđer Bošković Institute, investigating microplastic degradation from face masks under varying conditions. Previous experience includes a role as a Field Associate at Precision Health Consultants and as a Research Assistant at COMSATS University Islamabad, where work focused on polio surveillance in wastewater. Shabab also holds a Master's degree in Molecular Virology from COMSATS University Islamabad and has acted as an ambassador for Pink Ribbon.
