Shilpa Kodati

Shilpa Kodati is an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center, a position held since November 2022. Prior to this role, Shilpa served as a Staff Clinician at the National Eye Institute (NEI) within the National Institutes of Health from September 2019 to November 2022. Shilpa completed a fellowship in Vitreoretinal surgery at Baylor College of Medicine from July 2017 to July 2019 and a clinical fellowship in ocular immunology and uveitis at the National Eye Institute from July 2016 to June 2017. An ophthalmology residency was completed at UPMC from July 2013 to June 2016, preceded by a Transitional Year Internship at MetroWest Medical Center from June 2012 to June 2013. Shilpa's academic background includes an MBBS and a BSc in Immunobiology from Imperial College London, obtained prior to postdoctoral fellowship experience at Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard Medical School, from October 2010 to June 2012.
