Jacob Wellington

Jacob Wellington is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in data engineering and software development. Currently serving as Tech Lead Data Engineer at NextEra Analytics since May 2023, Jacob previously held multiple positions at the University of Minnesota from August 2014, including Software Engineering Manager and Lead Data Engineer for the IPUMS project, where skills in Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, and database management were honed. Prior experience includes software engineering roles at Augeo+Greer, where Jacob built scalable websites and managed AWS environments, and earlier positions at Inergize Digital and PTC, where Jacob developed applications and maintained web solutions. Jacob holds a Master of Science in Data Science and dual bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Theatre Arts from the University of Minnesota.
