Volkan Isler

Volkan Isler is a distinguished academic and industry leader with extensive experience in computer and information science. Currently a Professor at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities since August 2008, Volkan has held various academic positions including Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Recent industry roles include serving as the Head of the Samsung AI Center in New York from January 2021 to December 2023, and a Visiting Professor at Samsung Electronics America. As a co-founder of Farm Vision Technologies from September 2017 to December 2022, Volkan has also contributed significantly to research at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the University of California, Berkeley. Volkan's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer & Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University.
