Steve Potter

Steve Potter is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in fire safety and legal support. Currently serving as the Life Safety Compliance Coordinator at University of Missouri Health Care since February 2022, Steve brings extensive experience from various roles including Paralegal in the US Air Force Reserve since July 2012, with specialization in Operations Law, Military Justice, and Claims and Civil Law. Steve previously held the position of Fire Captain at the Columbia Fire Department from October 2001 to February 2022 and served as a Staff Sergeant in the Missouri Air National Guard, where responsibilities included overseeing training and career development for airmen. Additionally, Steve worked as a Driver/Operator for the Department of Public Safety for the State of Missouri from July 1996 to October 2001. Academic credentials include a Juris Masters in International Legal Studies from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Science in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University.
