Yigit Erkek

Yigit Erkek is the Head Men’s Volleyball Coach at the University of Mount Olive since August 2023, following a role as Graduate Assistant Coach for Men's Volleyball at the University of Jamestown from August 2021 to August 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Youth Sports Coordinator at the YMCA of the Triangle and Volleyball Coach at NC Volleyball Academy. Yigit also competed as a Middle Hitter for the University of Mount Olive Men's Volleyball team from 2016 to 2020 and held positions as Student Assistant and Manager for UMO Tennis and Cameraman for Women's Volleyball. Additionally, Yigit contributed to Fenerbahçe SK as an Assistant Coach and Secretary, organizing game schedules and tournaments. Yigit holds a Master of Arts in Sports Leadership from the University of Jamestown and a Bachelor's degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management with a minor in Coaching from the University of Mount Olive.
