Josefina Hamutoko, PhD, currently serves as Vice President of the Namibian Hydrogeological Association and holds the position of Senior Lecturer at the University of Namibia since January 2019, where previous roles included Lecturer. From May to October 2022, Josefina worked as a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Potsdam and from July 2020 to October 2022, contributed as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at SASSCAL, focusing on wetland distribution and functioning in the Cuvelai Basin, Namibia. Josefina's early experience includes a brief tenure as a geologist at BIWAC in 2011 and a period of unemployment in 2018. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Applied Geology from the University of Namibia (2014-2018), an MSc in Environmental and Resource Management from Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg (2011-2013), and a BSc (Hons) in Geology from the University of Namibia (2007-2010).
