Adam Liska serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln since August 2009 and holds the title of Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Institute Faculty Fellow. Additionally, Adam coordinates the Energy Science Minor program and has contributed to teaching and research in biofuels and energy science. Previously, Adam held roles including Assistant Professor of Biological Systems Engineering and Agronomy & Horticulture, and Research Assistant Professor from 2005 to 2009 at the same institution, focusing on biofuels. Early career experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at the University of Manitoba and a Predoctoral Student role at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics. Adam obtained a Ph.D. in Biology from both the Max Planck Institute and Technische Universität Dresden, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry & Biology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
