David Engle

David E. currently serves on the Board of Trustees and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New England, in addition to being a Board Member at Startup Maine since March 2024. Prior to these roles, David E. founded Upright Labs in October 2017, successfully leading the company from inception to a profitable business with over $5 million in annual recurring revenue and a successful exit to private equity in 2022. David E. also co-founded Masquerade, focusing on multichannel clothing sales technology, and founded Startup Village, which provided affordable housing for startup-focused students and alumni. Other ventures include leadership positions at Three Mountains, Demere, and managing a food truck, alongside early experiences as a Merchandise Planning Intern at Zappos and co-chairing University of Maryland Relay For Life. David E. holds a Master of Science in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management and a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain and Operations Management from the University of Maryland.
