Chrissy Burns

Chrissy Burns is the Chief Information Officer at UNSW since August 2022 and serves as a Director at AARNet Pty Ltd since 2015. Previously, Chrissy held the role of Chief Information Officer at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) from June 2012 to June 2022, where responsibilities included acting as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Corporate Services) and transforming the IT function. Additional experience includes Director positions at Higher Ed Services Pty Ltd and Intersect Australia Pty Ltd, as well as leading IT and Knowledge Management teams at Ashurst. Educational qualifications include a PhD from UNSW in legal technology, a Graduate Certificate in Change Management from AGSM at UNSW, and a GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Chrissy also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an LLB with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney.
