Ian Goon

Ian Goon is an experienced professional in the fields of healthcare innovation and strategy. Currently serving as the Head of Strategy and Innovation at the UNSW Tyree Foundation Institute of Health Engineering since June 2022, Ian Goon focuses on translating co-designed healthcare innovations into clinical practice through collaborations with various stakeholders. Prior to this role, Ian Goon co-founded Sprightly (Asia), where efforts were directed toward developing healthcare technology platforms aimed at enhancing patient-centered outcomes. Ian Goon has also provided strategic consulting at The Boston Consulting Group, worked on nanotechnology research as a Ph.D. candidate at UNSW, and contributed to educational evaluations for underprivileged youths through the Smith Family. Ian Goon holds advanced degrees from institutions including the University of Cambridge and UNSW, demonstrating a strong academic foundation in bioscience enterprise and chemical engineering.
