Mark Hoffman

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic & Vice-President at University of Newcastle

Mark Hoffman is the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic & Vice-President at University of Newcastle. Prior to this, they were with the Australian Academy of Technology & Engineering, University Grants Committee of Hong Kong, and Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - German Research Foundation. Mark has also served as a Director for Smart Services CRC Pty and UNSW Innovations, and is currently a Visiting Professorial Fellow at UNSW. In 2005, they were an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at Technische Universität Darmstadt.

After completing their undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Sydney, Mark Hoffman went on to earn a Master's Degree in Business and Technology from UNSW. Mark then completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science at the University of Sydney. Following their educational career, Hoffman took on a role as an executive leader, using their knowledge and skills to cultivate leadership energy through awareness and reflection.
