Zee Upton

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research & Innovation at University of Newcastle

Zee Upton is the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research & Innovation at the University of Newcastle. Prior to this, they were an Executive Director of Skin Research Institute of Singapore at A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research. Zee has also served as a member on various boards and councils such as the Accreditation Council for Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS), the Queensland Health Export and Investment Advisory Council, and Advance Queensland Expert Advisory Panel. Zee Upton is also an Adjunct Professor at Queensland University of Technology.

Zee Upton's educational career includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from the University of Adelaide, an Honours degree in Biochemistry from the University of Adelaide, and a Bachelor's Degree in Science from the University of Adelaide. Zee also attended Waikerie High School in Waikerie, South Australia.
