John Parnell

John Parnell is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in management education, currently serving as a Professor of Management and Eminent Scholar of Business at the University of North Alabama since July 2019. Prior to this role, John held the position of Professor and Belk Chair of Management at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke from 2002 to June 2019, and served as Head of the Department of Marketing and Management at Texas A&M University-Commerce from 1997 to 2002. John's academic career began at North Carolina Central University as an Associate Professor from 1994 to 1997. John Parnell's educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management from the University of Memphis, a Doctor of Education in Public Policy Analysis from Campbell University, and multiple degrees from East Carolina University, including a M.A. in Education and an MBA.
