John Stevenson

John Stevenson has a diverse work experience in the field of network and information systems. John started their career as a Help Desk Analyst at STS International Inc from 2005 to 2008. John then worked as an I.T. Analyst at STS from 2005 to 2008. Later, they joined Cisco in 2008 and served as a Lead Operations Analyst/Engineer until 2015, managing a global team supporting Remote Access Infrastructure. John also worked as a Design Engineer at Cisco from 2015 to 2016, focusing on implementing new technologies and solutions. Since 2016, John has been associated with the University of North Carolina Asheville, initially as a Network Administrator responsible for maintaining and optimizing the network infrastructure. John currently holds the position of Interim Director of Network & Information Systems, overseeing the daily management, operation, and design of the campus data network.

John Stevenson attended Western Carolina University from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Telecommunications. John obtained additional certifications including Cisco Certified Network Administrator from Cisco in August 2008, and CompTia A+ and CompTia Network+ from CompTIA in 2005.
