Laurel Jernigan

Laurel Jernigan is a seasoned program manager currently overseeing the Leadership Asheville Seniors program at the University of North Carolina Asheville since September 2021. Previously, Laurel served as a Volunteer Coordinator for the United Way of Asheville & Buncombe County from January 2018 to January 2019, and held the position of Program Director and Volunteer Coordinator for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at UNC Asheville from September 2012 to November 2017. Laurel's earlier experience includes serving as Managing Director for World Camp from 2005 until August 2012. Laurel Jernigan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina Asheville between 1997 and 2001.
