Catherine F.b. Barnes

Catherine F.B. Barnes is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in clinical research and workforce development, currently serving as Program Manager- Workforce Development and Associate Director of Clinical Research Operations at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since March 2021. Barnes directs the development of training opportunities for the School of Medicine's research community, leads a Clinical Trialist Training Program, and mentors study coordinators at the North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute as Director of Education. Prior roles include Senior Clinical Research Coordinator and Clinical Research Coordinator, providing comprehensive research coordination and regulatory management. A Master of Science in Clinical Research and Product Development was obtained from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, complementing a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
