Cory Kirkland

Cory Kirkland is an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Professional at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since November 2016, focusing on workplace safety and compliance, including fall protection and aerial work platforms. Prior to this role, Cory served as a Wastewater Plant Operator at Orange Water and Sewer Authority from July 2014 to November 2016, managing a facility processing 9 million gallons of wastewater daily. A brief internship at the Department of Energy Services at UNC in 2013 involved utilizing GIS technology for stormwater management. Earlier experiences include serving as Assistant Manager at Chapel Hill Skatepark and working as a Shop Hand at East Franklin Car Care. Cory holds a degree in Environmental Technology and Management from North Carolina State University, completed in 2014.
