James Bossert

James Bossert is an IT Development Leader at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since September 2024, specializing in software development and team coordination for a hybrid micro-services platform supporting NC AHEC. As a co-founder and lead developer at Fairlady Media since November 2008, James launched the successful Grandma and Grandpa kids' brand with over 1 million in sales across 13 apps. Previously, as Group VP of Engineering at WillowTree from August 2017 to February 2024, James managed significant client accounts and drove engineering excellence across multiple locations. With a background in software engineering roles at North Carolina State University and expertise in project management and instructional technology, James has established a robust career in leading teams and developing innovative IT solutions. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina State University, obtained in 2002.
