Leiha Edmonds is an experienced instructor and researcher with a focus on geography and social equity. Currently serving as an Instructor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Edmonds teaches GEOG 225: Space, Place, and Difference, while also leading the Community Practice Lab’s Housing Team as a Doctoral Research Fellow, where coordination of the Orange County Home Preservation Coalition is a key responsibility. Edmonds has an extensive research background, having worked as a Research Associate at the Urban Institute, where projects addressed social and economic inequality, and previously held positions related to transportation planning and community engagement. Edmonds holds a PhD in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master's in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
