Sierra Esparza

Sierra Esparza is an accomplished aquatics and activities director with extensive experience in the recreation field. Currently serving as the Aquatics Director at YMCA of Lincoln, Nebraska since September 2023, Sierra previously held the position of Assistant Director of Aquatics at Copple Family YMCA. Prior roles include Activities Director at Sioux City Country Club, where responsibilities included overseeing various club activities and managing staff, and Activities Assistant at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community, focusing on enhancing resident quality of life. An internship at Columbus Family YMCA Foundation provided exposure to youth sports and aquatics, while earlier experience includes a front desk role at the University of Nebraska at Kearney's Wellness/Recreation Center and serving as Head of Swim at Camp Matoaka for Girls. Sierra holds a Master's degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Northwest Missouri State University and a Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Outdoor, and Event Management from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
